We are a school for families who are raising children to live full, meaningful lives – grounded in truth, inspired by virtue, and guided by the values of the Catholic faith.
Tōtara Point School is a new, state-funded charter school with a Catholic ethos at the heart of school life, approved by the Charter School Agency, that opened in central Auckland on Wednesday 28 January 2026.
We offer a unique education for families who seek:
- Academic excellence grounded in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
- Strong character formation built on daily habits, responsibility, and virtue
- A Catholic ethos that supports faith, reason, and joy in learning
- Fortnightly one-on-one mentoring for every child and termly mentor-parent meetings
- A structured literacy approach using the Spalding Method
We begin with Years 1–5 in 2026, growing to Years 1–6 in 2027, with approximately 20 students per year level. This means your child is truly known and thoughtfully nurtured.
Tōtara Point School is not simply a place to learn facts. It’s a place where children grow in character, confidence, and clarity of purpose. A place where faith and family come first, and where teachers and parents partner closely to form each child in heart and mind.
